  • The Netherlands drew 1-1 with Bosnia-Herzegovina at the end of the Nations League group stage.
  • Germany were also held to a draw by Hungary. Julian Nagelsmann's team conceded the equalizer in the 99th minute.
  • On Tuesday evening, the Czech Republic and Wales clinched promotion to League A of the Nations League.

The Dutch, who had already qualified for the quarter-finals, failed to finish the Nations League Group 3 led by Germany. The European Championship semi-finalists were held to a 1:1 (1:0) draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Zenica. Stuttgart's Ermedin Demirovic gave bottom-placed Bosnia, who had suffered a 7-0 defeat against Germany in Freiburg on Saturday, a respectable win.

The Netherlands had taken the lead in Zenica through ex-Leipzig player Brian Brobbey (24'). However, with nothing more at stake for Oranje, coach Ronald Koeman used the game as a test in front of just 4,134 spectators. Oranje will then face one of the three group winners - France, Portugal or Spain - in the quarter-finals in March for a place in the Final Four.

Equalizer in the 99th minute

Germany end the Nations League group stage with a 1-1 draw in Hungary. The group victory had already been decided. Julian Nagelsmann's team, which had been almost completely reshuffled compared to the scoring feast against Bosnia-Herzegovina (7:0) three days ago, conceded an equalizer in the 99th minute through a penalty converted by Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai, after Dortmund's Felix Nmecha had scored his first international goal in the 76th minute to make it 1:0.

Felix Nmecha scored the 1:0 for the Germans, which they were unable to hold on to.

Czech Republic and Wales advance

Meanwhile, in addition to England and Norway, the Czech Republic and Wales also achieved direct promotion to League A. The Czech Republic beat Georgia 2:1 (2:0) thanks in part to a goal from Hoffenheim's Adam Hlozek and secured first place in Group 1 ahead of Ukraine, who can still clinch promotion in the play-offs. In Group 4, Wales moved past Turkey, who stumbled to a 3-1 (1-2) defeat in Montenegro, with a 4-1 (2-1) win over Iceland.
