No winner in the duel between Swiss defenders Fabian Schär and Manuel Akanji: The match between Newcastle United and Manchester City ends 1-1.

Josko Gvardiol put the visitors ahead in the first half, Anthony Gordon equalized in the 58th minute. The 23-year-old Englishman converted the penalty he himself had taken. Schär, who retired from the national team after the European Championships, played through, as did Akanji, who last played as the Swiss captain.
