Flurina Rigling will be the flag bearer for the Swiss delegation at the closing ceremony of the Paralympics in Paris on Sunday evening.
She opened the Swiss medal round, and now Flurina Rigling can bring the 17th Paralympic Games to a close in a certain way. The 27-year-old was appointed flag bearer by the Swiss delegation for the closing ceremony at the Stade de France in St. Denis.
The Zurich native competed in her first Paralympics in Paris, and she did so extremely successfully. On the track, the para-cyclist took bronze in the individual pursuit, and in the road race she secured second place and the silver medal in the final sprint.
