EV Zug defies the onset of winter and defends its place in the top 6, winning 5-2 at home against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.

After three defeats in the last four games, Zug could have been pushed down to seventh place by the Lakers, who have won twice recently. But the scenario remained hypothetical after a promising start by the visitors. Mike Künzle, Attilio Biasca, two-goal scorer Grégory Hofmann and Lino Martschini ensured a clear situation with their sometimes spectacular goals - especially as Tim Wolf in the Zug goal was only beaten in the final third when the score was 5:0.

With 78 goals, the now fifth-placed Zugers now have the strongest offense in the league after 22 games. The Lakers, who have scored 19 times less and lost again after two wins in the previous direct duels, are five points behind them in 8th place.

Due to the precarious traffic situation, the game started a quarter of an hour late.
