The Haas Formula 1 team can continue its journey to Monza after the Dutch Grand Prix with a one-day delay. The dispute with former Russian sponsor Uralkali has been settled.

Those responsible at the American racing team announced that Uralkali had confirmed receipt of a financial transfer initiated on Friday. As a result, the Haas team employees in Zandvoort were able to start transporting materials to Monza, where the Italian Grand Prix is scheduled for next Sunday.

Uralkali had called in the Dutch courts because the payment had not yet been received. The court involved ensured that the Haas team's racing cars and equipment were not allowed to leave the country until the payment had been made.

Team Haas had parted ways with its main sponsor at the time, Uralkali, in March 2022 following the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. A Swiss court of arbitration later ruled that the termination of the contract was legal, but that the racing team should also reimburse the majority of a sponsor payment made in advance. This allegedly involved the equivalent of around ten million dollars.
