Caviezel achieved his ninth World Cup podium. He missed out on his third victory at this level with a fairly clear defeat in the final against Austria's Arvid Auner.

Flurina Bätschi from SC Rinerhorn made the most of her home advantage. The 21-year-old stood on the podium at this level for the first time. In the semi-final, she narrowly lost out to the eventual winner Tsubaki Miki from Japan. The former figure skater ended the day with a win against Zuzana Madervoa from the Czech Republic.

The home World Championships will take place in the Engadin next March.
