What a game! The SCL Tigers were leading 2:0 and 3:2, but Luca Boltshauser conceded two goals from the tightest of angles in the final period. Nevertheless, Boltshauser was celebrated as the match winner in the end. He saved 45 shots (out of 48). Brian Zanetti scored the winning goal in overtime in the 77th minute with a slapshot.

In regulation time, the SCL Tigers squandered their victory with less than twelve seconds remaining. They led 2:0 until the 44th minute and 3:2 until just over eleven seconds before the end. They even had one more player on the ice in the final 89 seconds, as Damien Riat served a two-minute penalty. Nevertheless, Tim Bozon managed to equalize the score at 3:3 with a one-timer.

The tragic figure of regulation time: Luca Boltshauser, the Langnau goalie. Boltshauser saved the first 22 shots on his goal. But then he let three shots (out of twelve) pass in the last 16 minutes of regulation time - and the two equalizing goals by Dominik Kahun (2:2) and Tim Bozon (3:3) from an impossible angle.

The goals against forced Langnau to take a detour, but they did not deprive the Emmental team of victory. And in the end, the hosts deserved this result: they played with passion and emotion - and above all were more committed over long stretches than the qualification winners from Vaud.

The SCL Tigers celebrated their first victory over Lausanne since October 21, 2023 (4:3). Since then, they had lost seven games in a row.
