The Atlanta Hawks advance to the semi-finals of the NBA Cup. The team with Geneva's Clint Capela wins the quarter-final against the New York Knicks 108:100.

The visitors from the US state of Georgia trailed for more than half the game in New York's Madison Square Garden, but turned the game around in the third quarter and defended their lead until the end. Three Hawks players - De'Andre Hunter, Trae Young and Jalen Johnson - scored more than 20 points. Capela recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Atlanta will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the semi-finals on Saturday, against whom the Hawks won 119-104 a week ago. The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets will meet in the other semi-final. Both matches and the final on Tuesday will take place in Las Vegas.

The NBA Cup is being held for the second time. The tournament takes place as part of the NBA season and, with the exception of the final, the games also count towards the championship. The first edition last year was won by the LA Lakers, who defeated the Indiana Pacers in the final.
