Anja Weber achieves a personal best in a distance race in Oslo in the first World Cup race after the World Championships.
The Zurich native, winner of the bronze medal in the team sprint alongside Nadine Fähndrich in Trondheim, secured 13th place over 18.6 kilometers classic. A year ago in Lahti, she finished 15th over 20 kilometers classic. Norway's Therese Johaug clearly dominated and took impressive revenge for her "defeats" at the World Championships at the first opportunity. Johaug, who finished second three times and third once at the season's highlight, won by 16.5 seconds ahead of her compatriot Astrid Slind. Three-time world champion Ebba Andersson from Sweden was third, losing more than half a minute.
