European champion Angelica Moser also impresses at Zurich main station.

At the Diamond League event in the run-up to Weltklasse Zürich, the pole vaulter achieved a personal indoor best of 4.77 m - and only finished fourth.

The Zurich native had only jumped higher in a competition three times in her career: 4.78 m at her European Championship gold medal flight in Rome, 4.80 as Olympic fourth-placer in Paris and over 4.83 to 4.88 m at her double Swiss record in Monaco.

The fact that her performance in Zurich was not enough for a Diamond League podium place was due to the competition, which was fully represented in Zurich with the top 6 from the Games in Paris. The three women who won medals at the Olympic Games were also on the podium in Zurich.

Olympic champion Nina Kennedy from Australia won in Zurich with 4.87 in her first attempt and completed the world-class hat-trick. Bronze medalist Alysha Newman from Canada came second this time (4.82), Katie Moon from the USA third (4.82).
