Spaniard Alex Palou secures the IndyCar Series title for the third time in Nashville.
The last race of the season was won by American Colton Herta. An 11th place was enough for Alex Palou to take overall victory because Australian Will Power, who could have caught up with him, had to stop shortly after the start due to an incorrectly fastened seat belt and subsequently drove four laps behind the field on the Nashville oval.
The 27-year-old Alex Palou secured the IndyCar championship title for the third time after 2021 and 2023. The Spaniard made his debut in the series four years ago. Since then, he has won eleven races - two of them this season. Palou has not ruled out a move to Formula 1.
