Suter was involved in the Canucks' 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning by winning a faceoff. Russian Nikita Kutscherow was mainly responsible for the turnaround of the visitors from Florida with Swiss defenseman Janis Moser to 4:2 with a goal and two assists.
The New Jersey Devils with Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler also conceded a home defeat with a 4-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Nino Niederreiter lost 1:4 at home with the Winnipeg Jets against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
