In hindsight, it was not normal for a 12-year-old girl to have sex with several men. "But I understood that she did it voluntarily," said the 23-year-old main defendant. "I didn't give any instructions." Everyone was trying things out and having fun at the time.
Rose and bracelet as a gift
The victim was madly in love with the main accused at the time. According to the indictment, the now 23-year-old took advantage of this to make her available to his "bros", i.e. colleagues, for sex. The lower court, the Winterthur District Court, described the sexual acts as actual gang rapes.
The fact that the young woman was unable to break away from her lover boy for a long time was also evident during her questioning on Monday. In 2023 - i.e. after the first-instance conviction of her tormentor - she had visited his home several times.
She went to his apartment, rang the doorbell, put down a rose once and a bracelet once. She had hoped for a hug, she said. But she no longer had any feelings for him. "I just wanted to talk to him to get closure." She no longer goes to therapy and is now doing quite well.
This case is a drastic example of what is known as loverboy abuse. Loverboys are men who addict and exploit girls or women who are in love with them. They often pressure the victims to have sex with others - as was the case here. In addition to the 23-year-old, four of his "bros" who were "allowed" to have the girl are also accused.
