The parcel bomb case, which has been troubling Geneva for several months, remains a mystery. The two brothers who were arrested as part of the investigation have been released. They are not believed to have been involved in the crime.

The first suspect, a 26-year-old Swiss national, had already been released at Christmas. The second, a 32-year-old Swiss national, was released on Friday. The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) confirmed to the news agency Keystone-SDA corresponding reports by the newspaper "Tribune de Genève" and the French-speaking Swiss television station RTS.

After intensive investigations by the police, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland has concluded that there is no longer any reason to keep the two men in custody.

The two brothers were prosecuted following the explosion of two packages last August and November in St-Jean and Grange-Canal. A man and a twelve-year-old girl were injured in these detonations.
