From July to December 2024, TV channels reached 4.7 million people in Switzerland - 61% of all people aged three and over. This is according to data from the Mediapulse Foundation.

In the second half of 2024, every person in Switzerland watched an average of 105 minutes of TV per day. According to the data on the distribution and use of television, 75 minutes were spent watching linear TV and 30 minutes watching time-shifted TV.
Compared to the same period last year, the proportion of people who watch TV on an average day is stable, Mediapulse reported on Thursday. The reach value remained unchanged, while the daily viewing time decreased by one minute.
In Italian-speaking Switzerland, television achieved the highest relative penetration with a daily reach of 69% and the highest usage volume with a daily viewing time of 140 minutes. In French-speaking Switzerland, daily reach is 62% and viewing time is 110 minutes, while in German-speaking Switzerland it is 61% and 101 minutes.
Mediapulse is an independent industry organization responsible for collecting data on the use of radio and TV programmes in Switzerland. This data is used by broadcasters and program creators, the advertising industry, authorities and researchers.
