Traffic accident Ten injured after collision between car and bus in Koblenz AG

Ten people were injured in a violent collision between a Postbus and a passenger car in Koblenz AG on Tuesday afternoon. The driver of the car and a child from the bus were taken to hospital by helicopter.

The Postbus driver was trapped and had to be rescued, said Pascal Wenzel, spokesman for the Aargau cantonal police, on request. A total of eight passengers, including four children, suffered injuries.

The accident happened at 1.30 p.m. at the Aare bridge on the route from Koblenz in the direction of Felsenau. The cantonal road was still closed early Tuesday evening. After the collision, the Postbus tipped onto its right side.

No details are yet available on the exact cause of the accident. In addition to the police and rescue helicopter, the fire department and ambulances were also deployed. First reported by the online portal of the "Aargauer Zeitung".
