A 41-year-old Croatian woman was arrested after a sneak-in theft in Grub AR on Friday afternoon. When the woman was stopped after a manhunt, she was carrying the suspected loot, according to the Appenzell Ausserrhoden cantonal police.

A house owner had reported to the police station in Heiden AR shortly before 3 p.m. that she had noticed an unknown woman in the house. The latter then fled the scene.

During the ensuing search, the police stopped the woman. She was taken to the police station for further investigation, as the cantonal police reported on Saturday.
