An unruly bather injured two police officers when he was arrested in Weil am Rhein (Germany) on Sunday afternoon. The staff of the adventure pool had called the police because of an argument between two families, as the Freiburg i. Br. police headquarters announced on Monday.

One of the people involved in the argument is said to have refused to leave the pool. The 42-year-old French national also behaved "aggressively and threateningly" towards the police officers who were called out. During the arrest, several family members also tried to prevent the arrest.

The police used pepper spray because of the swimmer's fierce resistance. Two police officers were slightly injured during the arrest, according to the Freiburg im Breisgau police headquarters.
