The conservatives are the winners of the Schaffhausen cantonal council elections: The FDP and SVP each gained one seat. The Greens lost two seats. The 60-member council will therefore have a clear conservative majority in future.

The SP also gained three seats, as announced by the Schaffhausen State Chancellery on Sunday. The Juso, which was previously not represented in the cantonal council, gained one seat. However, as the Alternative List, which was previously represented with four seats, dissolved in the meantime, the left-wing camp was not strengthened overall.
