Eastern Switzerland Suspected arsonist arrested in Chur

A 40-year-old Swiss man has been arrested in Chur on suspicion of arson. He is suspected of setting fire to the façade of a residential building on Thursday evening.

The fire department and police were alerted to the fire at around 9 pm, as reported by the cantonal police of Graubünden on Friday. On site, the emergency services came across a burning pile of household goods. According to initial findings, the police assume that the fire was deliberate.

Three people who were in the house were evacuated and taken to the cantonal hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. They were able to leave the same evening.
