A Reddit user received eight letters from the Lucerne Cantonal Road Traffic Office on the same day. "Was in the post today. Why does everything have to be sent individually?" he asks angrily.
There is a heated discussion in the comments on Reddit: Some consider the large number of letters unnecessary, others try to find an explanation. One user jokes: "What did you do to get eight letters at once?" It is assumed that the letters are enveloped by machine and therefore sent individually.
Special case responsible
Apparently, separate MFK invitations were sent out for each of his vehicles, even though they are all registered to the same license plates, as reported by "20 Minuten". Larissa Probst, Head of Communications at the Canton of Lucerne, explains the reason to the news portal: "Normally, a vehicle is registered to one license plate, but in the case of veteran vehicles, one interchangeable plate can be issued for several vehicles."
In such cases, the system automatically generates an invitation to the MFK for each vehicle as soon as the license plate is put back on the road. This is why eight invitations were sent out in this case. Probst says: "We assume that this is a special case."
