On Sunday afternoon, the St.Gallen cantonal police arrested a fugitive who was allegedly involved in a physical altercation in Wil on Friday. The fugitive is a 34-year-old Algerian resident in St. Gallen.

The man is said to have seriously injured a 36-year-old man on Kirchweg St. Peter on Friday evening, as reported by the St. Gallen cantonal police on Monday. The public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation.
