At midday on Saturday, July 27, a man robbed a store on St. Gallerstrasse in Gossau. The police have pictures of the perpetrator. They now want to publish them if the man does not turn himself in within a week.

During the robbery, the perpetrator threatened the store employee with a knife. He then fled with the loot of several thousand francs. Images of the perpetrator were secured during the investigation, the St. Gallen cantonal police announced on Monday.

A so-called public manhunt has therefore been launched on behalf of the public prosecutor's office. This means that the images will be published unpixelated in a week's time and the public will be asked to help with the manhunt. Until then, the perpetrator has time to turn himself in to the police, according to the press release.
