The new town house in Romanshorn in Thurgau is being built according to plans by the Basel-based firms BGM Architekten and Meta Landschaftsarchitektur. Their "Ahoy!" project won the competition.

The new building on Sternenplatz will not only house the municipal administration, but will also provide space for other uses, according to a press release issued by the town on Friday.

The current administration building at Bahnhofstrasse 19, which has been standing for 130 years, is in serious need of renovation, Romanshorn announced. A new building would be more practical and would also allow for modern administration.
