Road accident Motorcyclist crashes near Steg in the Töss Valley and is seriously injured

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a self-inflicted accident in Steg im Tösstal on Sunday evening. After receiving initial medical treatment at the scene, he was flown to hospital by rescue helicopter.

Shortly after 5.30 p.m., the 17-year-old was riding his motorcycle downhill on Hulfteggstrasse towards Steg, as reported by the Zurich cantonal police on Sunday evening. At the end of a right-hand bend, he veered to the left into the oncoming lane for as yet unexplained reasons and hit the crash barrier. A few meters later, he crashed.
