Last Wednesday evening, a 24-year-old man was attacked with a knife by a stranger while jogging along the Suhre in Buchs AG. The victim was moderately seriously injured, but his life is not in danger, as the Aargau cantonal police reported on Monday.

The incident took place at around 9 p.m. on the Lochweg on the Suhre. The 24-year-old Swiss man was coming from the Wynenfeld industrial estate when an unknown perpetrator tried to rob him.

The perpetrator injured the victim moderately seriously with a knife and then fled, according to the police. The police, alerted by the victim, intensively searched for the perpetrator with several patrols, but without success.

Police are looking for witnesses

As further investigations have so far been unsuccessful, the police are asking the public for information. According to the victim's description, the attacker was a slender, dark-skinned man about 20 to 30 years old, 175 to 190 centimetres tall with a scruffy beard. He was wearing dark clothing and a loose sweater with the hood up.
