The Fribourg cantonal police have caught three suspected burglars. They are suspected of stealing jewelry and watches in the cantons of Fribourg, Bern and Solothurn, according to the police.

The value of the stolen goods amounts to over 90,000 francs. The suspects are believed to have broken into villas in Marly FR, Neyruz FR, Estavayer-le-Lac FR, Muntelier FR, Liebefeld BE and Bellach SO in February, according to the press release issued on Thursday.

The three Georgian nationals, aged between 31 and 33, were staying in the apartment of a fellow countryman living in the canton of Fribourg. The Fribourg investigators found some of the loot in this apartment.

During their interrogation, the three suspects admitted to the allegations. They also explained where they had hidden other stolen goods. Buried in a wooded area between Morlon FR and Broc FR, the investigators finally found more watches and jewelry.

The police were able to return these items to the victims.
