Water pollution Fish die in Frauenfeld due to beet mash in the water

A large number of fish died on Saturday night due to water pollution in the Tägelbach stream in Frauenfeld. The extent of the damage cannot yet be quantified.

The Thurgau cantonal police reported on Saturday that a production company on Oberwiesenstrasse had leaked so-called beet mash. The sugary mixture reached the Tägelbach via the drainage shafts. The police are currently assuming a technical defect in a production plant.
