Z'graggen wrote in a statement sent to the media on Monday that she was fulfilled by her role as a member of the Council of States and wanted to work for Switzerland with conviction and commitment.

The 58-year-old former member of the cantonal government of Uri has been a member of the small chamber since 2019 and is a member of the Political Affairs Committee and the Legal Affairs Committee. Z'graggen wrote that groundbreaking decisions are pending in both committees.

She mentioned Switzerland's relations with the EU and immigration. She also wants to deal with Swiss energy and transport policy. "These issues demand the utmost attention."
