The accident between the two cars occurred at 11.30 a.m. in the direction of Bern. A 40-year-old driver drove past several cars on the emergency lane and crashed into the crash barrier, according to the police.
As a result, his car was thrown into the vehicle of a 64-year-old man. This car tipped onto its side on impact and came to a standstill on the central crash barrier.
The 40-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance, while the 64-year-old was uninjured. According to the cantonal police, several tens of thousands of francs worth of damage was caused to vehicles and road equipment.
