Rail traffic Appenzeller Bahnen runs again from Altstätten SG to Gais AR

Appenzeller Bahnen has repaired the damage to the locomotives on the cogwheel train from Altstätten SG to Gais AR. The Appenzeller Bahnen announced on Tuesday that trains on this line will be running regularly again from Saturday after an interruption of around four weeks.

The wheelsets of the traction units had been damaged during work on the tracks. The complex repair work could now be completed a week earlier than originally planned, Appenzeller Bahnen wrote in the press release.

Replacement buses will continue to run until Saturday during the interruption to services on the railroad line. Departure times will be in line with the regular timetable.
