Mountain accident 35-year-old Romanian has an accident on a snowfield on the Uri Rotstock

On Sunday evening, a 35-year-old man from Romania slipped on a snowfield while descending the Uri Rotstock and fell around 200 meters down the south-western flank. He sustained serious injuries and was flown to hospital by Rega.

The accident occurred at 9 p.m., as reported by the cantonal police of Uri on Monday. Three men were descending from the summit of the Uri Rotstock via the Gitschenhörelihütte and Biwaldalp when the 35-year-old slipped on a snow field for reasons that are not fully understood.
