The Swiss stock exchange SIX has announced that trading will resume shortly. The technical problems with the price feed have been resolved, according to a statement on the SIX website.

This means that share trading on SIX should resume at 2.30 pm. SIX officially suspended trading at 10 a.m. this morning. After a brief resumption around midday, the exchange operator then had to suspend trading again due to renewed problems.

The technical problems with the SIX MDDX data feed have now been resolved, according to the SIX press release issued in the early afternoon. The Spanish stock exchange BME (Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles), which belongs to the SIX Group, was also affected by the disruption. The trading halt in Switzerland was justified with the "equal treatment" of market participants.

The cause of the breakdown is now being analyzed, according to SIX. A spokesperson explained this morning that it was an internal problem. After equities trading, trading in options and structured products is also scheduled to start at 2.45 pm. Bond trading will restart at 3.00 pm.
