He will leave the company at the end of March after six years, according to the press release. He will still be available for special tasks until the end of July 2025. From April 2025 and until the new CEO takes office, Alex Glanzmann will take over as CFO. Chairman of the Board of Directors Christian Levrat regrets the decision in the press release. With Cirillo, it was possible to "lead Swiss Post into the future".
Under Cirillo, Swiss Post implemented the strategy to modernize the Group. In May 2024, for example, Swiss Post announced the reduction of 170 out of around 800 post offices. Expanding the range of digital services was also a core part of the strategy.
Cirillo took over from Ulrich Hurni in April 2019.
