Italy Swiss man arrested in Parma after attack on police officers

After aggressive behavior against hospital staff and police, a Swiss man was arrested in the northern Italian city of Parma on Thursday night. The 34-year-old was already known to the Italian police for damaging property.

The police were called after the man behaved aggressively and attacked the medical staff at the Ospedale Maggiore in Parma, the Italian news agency Ansa reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the man had also tried to steal the service weapon of a security employee present. When the officers arrived, he also attacked them.

The 34-year-old Swiss national, who lives in Parma, was arrested for attempted robbery and resisting law enforcement officers.
