The next flight from Zurich to Amsterdam was scheduled for Friday at 12.45 p.m., as the airline announced at the request of Keystone-SDA. For this flight, Swiss is using a larger aircraft than originally planned, the Airbus A321, in order to be able to carry more passengers.

In total, Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport had to cancel more than 100 flights on Friday. The reason for this was the strong winds of storm Darragh, according to the airport. Based on its passenger volume of around 62 million travelers in 2023, Amsterdam Schiphol is the fourth largest airport in Europe - after London Heathrow, Istanbul and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
