The speaker at the Federal Supreme Court's public deliberations has spoken in favor of dismissing the appeals against the AHV vote in September 2022. Annulling the vote would jeopardize legal certainty.

In his comments, the judge noted that forecasts for AHV funding requirements are always subject to inaccuracies. The figures published by the Federal Council in the voting booklet would not deviate so greatly from those published later that they would have to be considered a serious error.

The voting complaints were submitted by the Greens and the SP Women as well as several individuals from the cantons of Neuchâtel, Geneva, Bern, Vaud and Zurich. They essentially demand the annulment of the vote on the amendment to the AHV Act.
