Medical technology Sonova wants to relocate jobs from Zug to Stäfa

Hearing aid manufacturer Sonova plans to relocate its Corporate Audiological Care team from Steinhausen in the canton of Zug to Sonova's headquarters in Stäfa in the canton of Zurich.

On Thursday, the company confirmed corresponding information from the portal "Inside Paradeplatz" at the request of the news agency AWP. This could also have a further impact on some of the jobs currently located in Steinhausen, a Sonova spokesperson told AWP. The authorities of the Canton of Zug and the employees in Steinhausen have been informed of the plans. The company is currently in the consultation phase.

"It is important for us to emphasize that as a global company, we are striving for operational efficiency, especially in light of the challenges posed by the strong Swiss franc," the spokesperson said.
