Selenskyj said this in his evening video address on Wednesday.

On Thursday, defense ministers from the Ukraine Contact Group will meet for the last time before Donald Trump takes office as the new US president at Ramstein Air Base in the northwestern German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Outgoing US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will open the 25th meeting in the Ramstein format at around 11:00 am.

In addition to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and representatives from around 50 countries are also expected to attend.

Against the backdrop of the new US administration, the meeting will address both the future of aid to Ukraine and the future of the Ramstein format itself. Trump has repeatedly criticized the massive US aid to Ukraine.
