Ricola is expanding in Lenzburg. The Group is taking over a plant on Karl Roth-Strasse in Lenzburg from Hero.

This will enable Ricola to counteract the production bottlenecks at its headquarters in Laufen, according to a press release issued on Wednesday. According to Ricola, part of the existing production infrastructure as well as offices and a staff restaurant will remain in operation.

According to the statement, Ricola produces all its products, which are exported to 50 countries worldwide, in Switzerland. Until now, this has mainly taken place in Laufen near Basel. The company has recently grown "dynamically" and has become the market leader in the cough drop category in the USA, for example.

However, one office building will remain the property of the Hero Group. Meanwhile, the staff restaurant will be used jointly by both companies in future. In addition, Hero's headquarters will reportedly remain at the "birthplace" of the company.

Ricola is scheduled to start production in Lenzburg in the first quarter of 2026. The company plans to create up to 40 jobs in Lenzburg. Specialists from Hero will also be employed, the statement continues.
