The Federal Criminal Court continued the hearing of an ex-partner of a car dealer accused of murder on Tuesday. The man allegedly shot an Egyptian diplomat in 1995 and raped, beat and threatened his former partner.

The victim reported how he had tried to end the relationship. However, he kept coming back and she was unable to escape his grip, the woman said. She explained that she had had phases of ambivalence and denial towards her partner.

The defendant was a "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" - a monster hiding behind a friendly mask. "If I had told what he did to me, no one would have believed me. When he forced me, I screamed inside, but no one could hear me. In the end, I hated the person I was."

The defendant's defense presented messages that had been exchanged between the defendant and the plaintiff. They were intended to show the plaintiff's contradictions. In them, the defendant appears controlling and aggressive, and the conversations tend to get out of hand. (Case SK.2024.47)
