Christmas Over 31,000 letters from children to Santa Claus and the Christ Child

Since the end of November 2024, Swiss Post has received almost 31,800 letters from all over Switzerland addressed to Santa Claus or the Christ Child. This was three percent less than in the previous year, according to the Swiss Post website on Thursday.

At the "special branch of Santa Claus and the Christ Child" in Cadenazzo TI, nine postal elves helped to answer the piles of letters. Traditionally, three quarters of children's letters come from French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, Swiss Post wrote. In 2024, 63 percent came from French-speaking Switzerland, 17 percent from Ticino and 16 percent from German-speaking Switzerland.
