Defense National Council wants to compensate for higher army expenditure elsewhere

The National Council wants to counter-finance the four billion franc increase in military spending through a lower cantonal share of direct federal tax and cost-cutting measures. This was decided on Thursday with the votes of the SVP, FDP and part of the center.
