Iran USA reaffirms "ironclad commitment" to Israel

The USA has assured Israel of its support in view of the retaliatory strike on Iran.

In a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Joav Galant, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin reaffirmed Israel's right to self-defense and the "ironclad commitment" of the United States to Israel's security, the Pentagon announced. The Minister stressed that the USA had strengthened its armed forces to protect US personnel, Israel and partners in the region in the face of the threat posed by Iran and Iranian-backed terrorist organizations. The US is determined to "prevent any actor from exploiting tensions or escalating the conflict in the region".
