The mining town of Selydowe in the Donetsk region, which had 23,000 inhabitants before the war, was named as the focus of the attacks. Ukrainian military observers reported that the Russians had entered the town. Russian telegram channels showed pictures of the Russian flag flying on a high-rise building in Selydowe. The town of Kurakhivka, a few kilometers to the south, is also under serious threat.

Ukrainians near Kupjansk allegedly without supplies

According to military sources in Moscow, the Russian army destroyed a supply line across the Oskil River at the Kupyansk-Vuslovy railroad junction in the Kharkiv region. This information could not be independently verified. However, it would mean that the Ukrainian troops on the eastern side of the river can hardly be supplied any more. Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian invasion for more than two and a half years.
