In Lebanon, the death toll has risen to 37 following the explosions of technical devices allegedly coordinated by Israel.

At a press conference in the capital Beirut, Health Minister Firas Abiad went on to say that a total of around 3,000 people were injured on both days.

Following the explosions of hundreds of so-called pagers in various locations on Tuesday, numerous other technical devices, mainly walkie-talkies, exploded just one day later. These devices were significantly larger than the pagers, said Abiad. "That explains why we had more serious injuries on Wednesday than the day before," he said.

It was previously reported that there had been around 2,800 injuries on Tuesday alone. The number was corrected downwards by the Ministry of Health "after thorough investigations". Some of the wounded had presented themselves at various hospitals before they could be treated. This led to duplications.

According to the minister, the number of injured on Tuesday is currently 2323. There were 608 injured on Wednesday.

Among the dead and injured are numerous Hezbollah members, but also civilians. Lebanese security sources said that the majority of the victims belonged to the Shiite organization.

Prorian Hezbollah has reported 32 deaths among its own ranks since the explosions on Tuesday. However, it did not specify whether these members were killed by the explosions of pagers and radios on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is currently unclear how many Hezbollah members were injured or killed by the explosions.
