Late last night, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with drones. The Ukrainian air defense reported swarms of drones flying in from various directions. The targets of the combat drones were initially unclear due to the constantly changing flight directions. With this tactic, the Russian military is trying to overload the Ukrainian air defense.

Russia is constantly trying to wear down the Ukrainian population with new drone and missile attacks. Many of the attacks are aimed at Ukraine's energy infrastructure in order to bring the supply of electricity - and therefore also water and district heating - to a standstill.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had only threatened to retaliate this morning after a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian city of Kazan on the Volga, which has a population of over a million. "Whoever tries to destroy something in our country will be confronted with many times more destruction and will regret what they have tried to do in our country," said the Russian president in a televised video conference.

On Saturday morning, six Ukrainian drones struck residential buildings in Kazan and another hit an industrial building. According to official reports, there were no casualties in the attack. Kazan is located more than 1,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Although Ukraine has not yet officially claimed responsibility for the attack, it is seen as its response to a Russian missile attack against Kiev.
