Following a rocket attack by Yemen's Huthi rebels, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a harsh response. According to his office, he said during the weekly cabinet meeting that the Huthi should have known that anyone who tried to harm Israel would have to pay a high price.

"Anyone who needs a reminder is welcome to visit the port in Hudaida," Netanyahu said. Following a deadly Huthi drone attack on Tel Aviv, the Israeli air force attacked the Yemeni port in July. A major fire broke out there and six people were killed.

"Anyone who attacks us will not escape our fist," Netanyahu continued. "We are in a multi-front war against the Iranian axis of evil that wants to destroy us." The so-called resistance axis includes militias allied with Iran, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi militia in Yemen.

According to the Israeli army, the ballistic missile broke up in mid-air. Rocket fragments hit a train station in the city of Modiin between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well as open areas. A fire broke out southeast of Tel Aviv.
