Trump supporter Elon Musk has reacted to the alleged assassination attempt on the former US President with a provocative post. On his online platform X, he wrote: "And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala." After the words, he added an emoticon with a pensive face.

Tech billionaire Musk is supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump ahead of the election in November. On X, he is campaigning against his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris. US President Joe Biden is not running again.

Following the shots fired near Trump on Sunday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is assuming a suspected assassination attempt on the former president. It was only in mid-July that Trump was hit in the right ear by a bullet at a campaign event in the state of Pennsylvania.

Most recently, Musk reacted mockingly to a post by US superstar Taylor Swift in which she announced her decision to support Harris. Harris and Trump are roughly tied in the polls. Both want to win over undecided voters in particular.
