According to the military, Israeli air defenses intercepted another missile fired from Yemen during the night. It was shot down outside the country's borders, the military announced on Telegram.

The warning sirens sounded again in dozens of cities across the country, including in the Jerusalem area and on the Dead Sea. Previously, military facilities belonging to the pro-Iranian Huthi militia in Yemen had once again been the target of air strikes. The TV station Al-Masirah, which is considered the mouthpiece of the militia, spoke of attacks by the USA and Great Britain.

There was initially no confirmation from Washington or London. According to Israeli military sources, its own air force was not involved. According to Israel, it had only bombed Huthi infrastructure on Thursday evening. Like the Islamist Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, the militia is allied with Israel's arch-enemy Iran. Since the beginning of the Gaza war, the Houthi have repeatedly fired rockets at Israel and merchant ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with Hamas.
